We had dinner in the restaurant on the evening of our stay and the food was delicious! They give massive portions and although it's quite pricey, the food was great and the staff were lovely and friendly. The chips are recommended! Our room was clean and although I have many bad points, I feel that we were just unlucky in what room we were put in, and who was in the bar that night! I think the prices are a bit extreme for the hotel.

The bed was far too small. We're only a young couple but as my partner likes to stretch out at night, there was not enough room. We were put in a room overlooking the back garden which unfortunately was very lively until the early hours as the bar is open to 2am. Also, the kitchen staff kept coming in and out of the block of rooms as the storage room must have been below us. They were very inconsiderate with the noise levels, constantly banging the doors as they passed through. Also, when the bar closed there was a very loud group of people leaving who lingered and made us unable to fall asleep until almost 3am. We had a lot of travelling to do the next day and because of this, we overslept breakfast and had to rush off the next morning.

We were very pleasantly suprised at the quality and standard of the hotel, given the great price for a double room b&B. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, even printing out a map for us when we asked advice on how to get to a local event. The food was excellent and the menu was varied and catered for all tastes, the menu was also good value for money. The hotel had a friendly, welcoming ambience and was obviously popular with guests and locals alike. We stayed an extra night because of all these plus points and will stay again in the not too distant future.

Breakfast is a little late, would be better if they shifted it back 30 mins.

The location was perfect for our trip. The Breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and fresh and the bed linen freshand clean. We will be booking to stay here again as we have family near by. My husband also commented that the price of a pint of real ale was really good. They also had decafinated tea and coffee available which is great.

The staff were friendly and helpfull, the room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic four poster bed. The hotel looked a little tired and could do with a bit of TLC but no complaints. Breakfast was good and the restaurant staff were very good. Wanted something different from a premier inn style of hotel and the White House fit the bill.

The Food was very very good and the staff really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. When we arrived the room we were allocated was no made up but we were soon moved to a different room. We were late for breakfast but they still made us egg on toast etc. Staff & food excellent.

The decor was a litttle dated but value for money was good.

The staff were very attentive. It was very easy to find.

The hotel bar is a bit tired and could do with an upgrade. The hotel layout was a bit confusing. I stayed on the ground floor, but had to go up stairs and then down to get to my room.

Nice quick breakfast, good food in the pub downstairs, good internet connection, clean room, nice bathroom, nice big car park, quiet area.

Hotel decor a little dated but it doesn't detract from the helpful and friendly staff, room clean and the food very very good. A good hotel to stay at a reasonable price, would recommend it.

Our reason for visiting Telford was to attend a funeral of a close friend, although the room was originally booked for myself and my wife, the hotel was happy to let our son aged 18 to stay as well for an additional £10.00 which included breakfast. I considered this to be excellent value for money. I believe the hotel to be privately owned and this was noticeable in the service provided, it was warm and personal, without being obtrusive. 99.9% of staff we met were more than attentative to our requirements. I will definately stay there again...More than happy with the food, and again, through Booked.net, we found a hotel which brought your breakfast to the table freshly cooked and hot, not having to queue at the trough for food which has been cooked well in advance is a pet hate of mine.

The four poster bed which was in our room could do with its joints being re glued, it was very squeaky, which was a pity because the room itself was great. On a point of service, there was a barmaid on duty who could do with some one to one advice/training on client contact. She never once said please or thank you or smiled, In the end I did'nt know whether to say "thank you or to salute her. She lets her work colleagues down.

The staff were friendly and the food was ok.

Whilst the public areas of the hotel were well presented, behind closed doors the rooms were shocking! The dim, dark corridors gave some idea of the delights to come - torn curtains and nets, a bathroom door that didn't fit, the bathroom itself was filthy with dust laden pipework, cobwebs and a general feel of neglect.

The hotel was pleasant, and the price quite reason .... especially since it included breakfast.

I had to climb first up, then down some stairs to get to my room.

It was very convenient for me as I was working nearby and the hotel, in any case, was cheaper than other options within a reasonable radius. As the client wasn't paying for my stay this was a major factor in me keeping my costs down. Free Broadband was a particular bonus and is an excellent reason for staying here on its own when taking into account the cost at other 'budget' hotels. Staff friendly and the food in the attached restaurant was good.

The overall look and feel of the whole hotel and bedrooms was a little tired - having to remove one plug form a socket to power a laptop etc. is a bit annoying - although it was comfortable enough and there is no noise. Some of the dust on the accumulated unplugged lamps etc. showed that some of the cleaning wasn't all it could be.

The Hotel itself could do with a bit of TLC but the restaurant more than makes up for it, the food is brilliant and excellent value for money. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

There is a lack of a coffee lounge where one can sit after ones meal, you either have to stay at your table or sit in the bar, which is more like a taproom or games room.
